Simple Answer YES.. We manufacture 98% of what goes out our door right here in Southern California, made in the good Ol' USA. We have a small selection of things that we bring in but even those are made in the USA.
Our Standard Lead Time is 3-5 weeks, however based on material availability, color requirements or thickness it can take up to 7 weeks. On the flip side we usually beat our standard lead time and if you need something turned around quick we can usually accommodate that and work with you to achieve your packaging requirements.
The Line item you see on your quote or sales order that says NRE is referring to the Non Recurring Engineering fee that is associated with creating a new tool or die. if the part is pre existing we usually can get away with not charging a NRE fee however most of the time it is necessary.
All of our tooling is done in house. yes.. in house.. meaning we have total complete control over the tooling process. We have our own team of engineers and product designers that work closely with our sales team to bring you exactly what your packaging requirements call for.
The Difference between a tool and a die is a die is usually used in the fabrication of a corrugated plastic box, a tool on the other hand is used in the forming process of vacuum forming. Both are represented in our quotes and sales orders by the NRE charge.
Unless otherwise stated no, we usually prepay and add it to the invoice but we have the ability to ship product on your account number as well as include it in our quoted price.. just ask..
