In-house Design and Tool Making
One of the first (and most cost-prohibitive) steps of any new project is the design, engineering, sampling, and fabrication of new hard tooling and dies. Many thermoforming companies outsource this part or require you to submit your own designs as doing this all in-house requires having a whole design and engineering staff as well as CNCs and machinists to actually mill the new tooling.
Here at Kiva, we invested decades ago in handling our own tooling and design. Today we have a full design, engineering, and machining team in-house that works closely with sales and production to ensure you’re getting the end product you require, in the timeframe you require it, without the cost and time prohibitive issues of running things through a third party.
